Copper bonded refers to the composite wire with copper clad steel wire, that is, copper clad steel wire. It uses the skin effect of low-voltage and high-frequency signals to walk along the surface in high-frequency region. So as long as the thickness of copper layer reaches a certain range, the signal of a certain frequency band can be ensured to be transmitted. Copper plays the role of conducting weak electric signals, while steel wire plays a supporting role.
According to different methods of wrapping copper into steel wire, they are mainly divided into electroplating, coating, hot-casting/dipping and electroforming.
Copper bonded in the market basically adopts electroplating process, that is, electrolytic batteries working principle of the electroplating process will block copper plate "dissolved" and then through the current guide to cover the steel wire. Coating is to wrap copper strip around steel wire and weld it with argon arc welding at the wrapped interface; hot casting/dipping is to melt copper into liquid by heating, and the steel wire passes through to bring out copper liquid and then cool and solidify; electroforming is a special application of electroplating, which realizes the reduction and aggregation of copper in the negative mould, which is rare.
Copper bonded grounding rod has been widely used in the grounding system of electric power, petrochemical industry, transportation, civil buildings and large-scale mechanical equipment. It has the characteristics of long service life, economy and excellent conductivity.
